Welcome to the AWA Home Page.
Thank you for stopping by.
Among these pages you can find the latest happenings, calendar of events, history of the neighborhood, and much more.
Your suggestions are always welcome!
Welcome to both new homeowners and those of you who have been here for decades!!! This little part of the Cape is a slice of heaven and has so much to offer…add that to great neighbors, and you have paradise!
The Arthur Walker Association is open to all property owners holding deeded access rights to Follins Pond via lot 182 (also known as the beneficiaries). Beneficiaries own property on Olivia Walker Way, Robert Arthur Way, Natalie Sayward, Susan Eldridge Way, Peter David Way, Constance Ann Way, Alfred Metcalf Drive and a handful of properties on Mayfair Rd. A copy of the original Declaration of Trust from 1985 is located here and provides additional details.
The AWA is a volunteer group. We have private roads, common ways to the water and we all share in preserving the slower pace of the neighborhood and all that it offers! So if you see something, say something and bring it the AWA’s attention. Periodically, groups gather for beach clean up, stair repairs, and overall betterment. For example, on Memorial Day, speed bumps are installed on the more frequently traveled roads by our neighborhood volunteers and removed on Labor Day. Come, roll up your sleeves, and join in the fun.
If you’re not yet an AWA member, here’s why you should be …
- As a beneficiary, you enjoy access to Lot 182 beaches.
- Your deeded rights increase the value of your property.
- Annual dues pay the real estate taxes on Lot 182 on behalf of the beneficiaries.
- Paid dues allows the beneficiary voting rights.
- Annual dues provide liability protection for the beneficiaries by maintaining a comprehensive insurance policy on Lot 182.
- Improvements to AWA property including repairs to accessway stairs, maintenance of right of ways, and maintenance of the floating dock and beach area.
- Annual meeting and picnic.
- Receive updates to issues directly affecting our association via email.
Join us at the next meeting or Summer picnic to find out more about the benefits of being an AWA member!
